Strategic Planning
My experience working with small, rural communities and guiding them through an authentic strategic planning process guided by the organization or community, not a rule book. I work with communities and organizations for over six months to develop an engagement strategy, organize priorities, and facilitate an in-person retreat to detail the strategic plan.
The base strategic planning package can be discussed with additional optional services, for example, a facilitated community meeting, a comprehensive visioning process, and an evaluation of previous strategic plans using Ripple Effects Mapping.
Community Facilitator
Need an experienced facilitator to guide your organization or community meeting? I have seven years of facilitation experience in rural community and organizational capacities. I can design a program that fits your unique needs.
Meeting length? I can help plan and facilitate multi-day meetings for strategic planning, or as little as one-hour.
Who is Rural Community Solutions?
Marci Miller has been a community and economic development professional in the rural Pacific Northwest for nearly a decade. Based in northern Idaho, Marci is rural born and raised, deeply understanding rural communities' needs and the unique nature of the people, places, and economies.
Marci graduated with both her Bachelors and Masters from the University of Idaho. Her background in natural resource conservation, outdoor recreation, and small-scale farming brings a broad yet defined interest in the PNW economies of rural towns. Marci has owned her own businesses and worked for the University of Idaho Extension, and nonprofits. Marci is well-traveled across Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon for both work and recreation.
